Janette has been a real estate practitioner since 1987, handling general brokerage transactions from sales and leases of various types of real estate properties. Her career is highlighted by some historical breakthroughs she was involved in, particularly: Janette is the originator of the “real estate roadshow,” an international sales and marketing strategy she conceptualized and pioneered in 1997, bringing awareness to the real estate projects of top real estate developers in the Philippines. Culled from her real estate “roadshow” events she conducted across the east and west coasts of the USA, the concept was adopted by real estate developers and brokers. From then on, the "real estate roadshow" became the international marketing strategy of every Philippine real estate developer and broker. A member of the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP), Inc. since 1991, she served as National President of REBAP, Inc. for two terms in years 2000 & 2001. She is also the founder of REBAP Mandaluyong City Chapter, Inc. and its charter president from 1993-1995. Hernandez is a real estate seminar Lecturer/Speaker accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) since 2012. The PRC accreditation allows her to lecture on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) topics for real estate brokers and salespersons. Hernandez is also an artist by education, having studied Interior Design from the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) in Makati City and practiced for a couple of years before finding a career in the real estate industry. In her spare time, she paints in canvass using acrylic as a medium.
